VLC has released an update to its iOS app with iOS 7-friendly user interface and a slew of new useful features.
VideoLAN has rolled out an update to its VLC for iOS, adding a number of new features including iOS 7-based redesign and Google Drive and Dropbox streaming.
In addition to the iOS 7-based user interface, the app version 2.2.0 now features new multi-touch gestures. There's improved UPnP support including the ability to download files. Also, there's support for more streaming formats and protocols. Decoders now get support for HEVC / H.265 and VP9.
The update also brings improved library handling for TV shows and Audio, improved privacy when using Passcode Lock, Rewritten WiFi upload, and most importantly Google Drive integration and Dropbox streaming. You can download the updated VLC for iOS from Apple's app store.
